The Galilee MUN students of our school hosted students and teachers from several schools of Nazareth on Tuesday the 3rd of February. The meeting’s main purpose was to provide a training session to those students taking part in TIMEMUN 2015. There were about fifty students from several schools; The Salvatorian Sisters School, El-Mutran School, The Baptist School, and The Galilee Secondary School. They were welcomed by the principal of the school, Dr. Faisal Taha, who stressed the importance of the cooperation between schools as well as the enrichment that students gain from being part of such a program.

 

The students had a mock session on the issue of combating harmful practices affecting women, young people and children. They presented policy statements and expressed their points of view in regard to the subject matter.

 

To conclude, the meeting was both an enriching and a pleasant experience.
